The Nindowari archaeological site, dating back to the Chalcolithic period, has revealed intriguing insights. Findings from archaeological investigations strongly indicate that the Nindowari complex was inhabited by the Harappans. Nindowari is located some 240 kilometres (150 mi) northwest of Karachi.

Asko Parpola has been studying this undeciphered writing for over 40 years at the University of Helsinki in Finland & is generally recognized as the world's expert on the Indus script, He is co-editor of collections of all seals and inscriptions in India and Pakistan.
The problems with the deciphering of the Indus script are that we do not know the value (linguistically or not) of the Indus signs. Some of them seem obvious, such as: a certain seed, a plough, etc.
