The Nindowari archaeological site, dating back to the Chalcolithic period, has revealed intriguing insights. Findings from archaeological investigations strongly indicate that the Nindowari complex was inhabited by the Harappans. Nindowari is located some 240 kilometres (150 mi) northwest of Karachi.

The problems with the deciphering of the Indus script are that we do not know the value (linguistically or not) of the Indus signs. Some of them seem obvious, such as: a certain seed, a plough, etc.
